No less than 97 percent of Dutch companies are SMEs. SMEs account for 47.5% of the turnover of the total Dutch business community and no less than 97 percent of the companies with their own R&D activities come from SMEs. Nobody talks about entrepreneurship as a lifestyle, yet that is exactly what it is.
